Customers can easily track their disk space and traffic usage to ensure their hosting account stays within its limits. Here’s how to monitor these metrics in Plesk.
Step 1: Log in to Plesk #
- Open your web browser and go to the Plesk login page.
- Enter your credentials and click Log in.
Step 2: Navigate to the Statistics Section #
- In the Plesk dashboard, locate the Statistics option in the left-hand menu.
- Click Statistics to view your resource usage.
Step 3: Monitor Disk Space Usage #
- In the Statistics section, check the Disk Space panel.
- You’ll see the total allocated disk space, how much is used, and a breakdown of usage by service (e.g., web files, logs, mail, backups).
- If usage is nearing the limit, consider:
- Deleting unnecessary files or logs.
- Cleaning up unused email inboxes.
Step 4: Monitor Traffic Usage #
- In the Statistics section, find the Traffic panel.
- The panel shows the total traffic allocated and the amount used.
- Traffic includes website visits, FTP transfers, and email activity.
- If you are on a limited traffic plan, monitor usage regularly to avoid overage fees.
Tips for Managing Disk Space and Traffic #
- Disk Space: Regularly clean up logs, unused files, and email inboxes to stay within limits.
- Traffic: Monitor traffic patterns if your site experiences high visitor numbers or frequent file downloads.
